I started tinkering with cars around the age of 10 when I would spend summers in S Carolina. I took lessons from my uncle JR who was a master mechanic and a big GM A body car head.
I was fortunate enough to work with my uncle on some of the most sought after muscle ever built, And of course fly up and down the dirt roads of a Carolina testing them out. All thru high school and college I still fixed and tweaked cars - then I got into fuel injection...starting with the tuned port, skipping the first gen LT engine and going right to the LS engine.
It was a buddy who worked at a GM dealership that called me down in 98 to check out the new Camaro.
I got the keys of a white 6 spd Camaro SS, and fell in LOVE... not just with the car but the LS engine.
Getting back to the dealership I popped the hood, it was love at first sight. I said to my buddy, "There has got to be a way to put this engine into an old school ride..."
After becoming a close friend to the late Mark Campbell of Street and performance, Mark became a mentor and showed me the ins and outs of the LS engine and T56 transmissions. After Mark passed, I chose to take it upon myself to carry the torch - help anyone achieve the dream of building their dream instead of buying it.
This is why I'm in the Garage Shop making videos, learning from my experience, my mistakes and my passion. Welcome...let's build something together!
